Another missing scene, Daniel drops Ali off at her front door after their first date.
Tension was high after Daniel was humiliated thanks to Johnny and his Cobras in the Golf N Stuff parking lot. Thanks to Ali however a bruised ego is soothed and repairs are made to Daniel and Ali's relationship.
Chapter 17, page 78
"Look, if I'd really wanted to go, I would have," she said, climbing into the car. Daniel was sure she was disappointed to be in this ancient Chevy instead of Johnny's classy convertible, and was only being polite to him.
At Ali's house, Daniel walked her to the door.
"So anytime you want to go sliding," she said, "just say abracadabra-"
"Yeah, I'll call you," said Daniel, withdrawn, upset, let down by the scene in the parking lot.
He turned.
"Wait a sec," Ali called. He walked back to her. She reached her hands to his lips and, magically, a piece of paper appeared. She handed it to him.
"How are you going to call the magician if you don't have her phone number?" she asked, and then, in an instant, was gone.
Maybe, just maybe, thought Daniel, he could conquer the Hills. But it was going to take some magic.
